Is Your Manufacturing Data Secure?

You’ve likely seen the news about the recent ransomware attack that occurred the weekend of July 4th. The attack, which was centered on IT firm Kaseya, impacted somewhere between 800 to 1,500 companies worldwide.

Unfortunately, cybersecurity incidents are becoming increasingly common. In 2020 alone, an estimated 65,000 successful breaches were reported, resulting in approximately $350 million in ransom payments.

Data security is on everyone’s minds—including manufacturers and their customers. After all, exceptional data security is critical when it comes to:

  • Creating parts for the aerospace, military, and medical industries

  • Protecting intellectual property rights

  • Keeping confidential information protected

  • Maintaining an archive of documents, notes, and inspection reports

At Arbiser Machine, we take data security seriously. Our machine shop in Georgia has a number of safety measures in place to keep customer data secure, traceable, and in good hands.

Your Data Is Secure

We’ve implemented the following measures to keep your data secure:

  • Migrating all operations from a traditional server to a cloud server

  • Ensuring 24/7 supervision via a managed services provider, which includes on-site assistance and around the clock local support

  • Implementing cloud integration for all our operational software including quoting, routing, scheduling, packing lists, and more

  • Maintaining hard copy archives in addition to our virtual databases to supplement data on every part we make

  • Using an ITAR compliant quoting system

  • Providing insurance in the event of a cybersecurity breach

Your Data is Traceable

We know that it’s not enough to simply store customer information in a “black box” never to be found again. That’s why in addition to keeping your data secure, we also ensure that it’s completely traceable. We keep every piece of documentation for a project and have been known to pull information from as far back as two decades.

A customer of ours recently wrote to us, requesting information on a part we had made for them in 2008. They thought they were making a big ask, but we assured them we could get them the information they needed.

We found detailed information, including the routing, the names of our employees who made the parts, how long the process took, the cost of materials, and even all the tooling and fixturing we used! The best part? We obtained this important documentation in a matter of minutes!

Your Data is in Good Hands

Credibility is essential when it comes to data security. You have to be confident that you can trust the company handling your sensitive information—and you can trust Arbiser Machine.

We’ve been in the business of helping our customers since 1964, and we’re always striving to improve our exceptional capabilities and superb customer service. We encourage you to check out what our customers have to say about working with us

When it comes to data security, you may think the worst will never happen to you. But we’ve seen worst case scenarios occur at other shops and result in lasting damage. So don’t wait for a security breach to impact your business. Work with our machine shop in Georgia and we’ll make sure your data is always in good hands.
